Mrs. Wegner, wife to Senior Pastor of Marlton Assembly of God Rev. Jon Wegner, comes to us with a wealth of experience and education. Ms. Wegner holds a B.A. in Bible and Missions and a Minor in Deaf Ministry from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. She has also completed the Alternate Route Specialized Early Education through Grade 3 Pedagogy Program from Kean University in Union, New Jersey. She has 7 years of teaching experience in private and public school education as well as over 10 years managerial experience as Principal/Director of Growing Garden Preschool and Vailsburg Christian Academy. She now lives in Marlton with her husband of 20 years and her three teenage daughters.

Ms. Wallace joined the MCA staff in 2008 and has served as Preschool Director, Director of Operations as well as the Vice Principal of MCAE. Ms. Wallace graduated magna cum laude from Rowan University with a B.A. in Communications specializing in Public Relations. Prior to joining the MCA team, Ms. Wallace worked in the field of higher education as a recruitment and academic advisor. Ms. Wallace also served one term as a missionary in Eastern Asia. Ms. Wallace sharpened her teaching and curriculum development skills while teaching students and working with teachers from early education years through university aged in the U.S., India, China and Italy. Ms. Wallace spends her free time serving on the Missions Board of Marlton Assembly of God and traveling internationally as much as possible.

Mrs. Howlett has served as the administrative assistant at MCA for 9 years and previously worked in the Children’s Ministry Department at Marlton Assembly of God. Mrs. Howlett has over 19 years experience working with children as the coordinator and West Central Representative of Impact (formerly Missionettes), a discipleship ministry for young girls. Mrs. Howlett lives in Southampton with her husband and enjoys spending time with her two children and three grandsons.

Mrs. Soorikian has served at Marlton Christian Academy since 1999 where she has taught fourth grade, first grade and kindergarten. She directed the MCA Summer Camp for two summers and volunteered teaching children in Sunday School at Marlton Assembly of God. Having gone to a private Christian School herself, Ms. Wiltsey understands the value of instilling Christian values in children at a young age. Mrs. DiStefano is the First Grade Teacher at MCA. She received a B.A. from California State University in liberal studies with an education focus and received a teaching certification for K-8th grades. Mrs. DiStefano has experience teaching students from 1st grade through 5th grade and High School Spanish I & II for many years. Mrs. DiStefano took some time away from teaching to be at home with her five children. She completed a dual major at Penn State University, and is certified in both Elementary and Special Education. While raising her children, she obtained her Nursery School Certification from Rowan. She taught Extended School Year Programs for students with autism, as well as, summer school for various grades. In order to stay current in best teaching practices, she served as an assessor for The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and scored the Praxis Teacher Exams at Educational Testing Services. Mrs. Renter and her husband, Pastor Troy, Family Life Pastor at Marlton Assembly of God, moved to New Jersey from Oskaloosa Iowa. Mrs. Renter has taught students from Pre-school through High School since 1991. Mrs. Renter earned a B.S. Degree from the University of Northwestern Roseville, MN and she is also a credentialed pastor with the Assemblies of God. Mrs. Renter has spent the past eight years working as a Behavior Specialist for the Department of Health and Human Services. Specifically she worked in the public school system with students, teachers and parents to educate and train in the field of Behavior Modification. She and her husband have two grown children who attend college in Nebraska.

Ms. Trowbridge teaches the Music Special at MCA as well as private piano lessons. Music has been a lifelong passion and interest of hers and she has learned to use this gift to serve others and glorify God. She is an active member of Sovereign Grace Church in Marlton, New Jersey and serves on multiple worship bands and ministries there. Ms. Trowbridge has been classically trained in piano and music theory for fifteen years. Mrs. Trowbridge is finishing her requirements toward a dual degree of Elementary Education and American History at Rowan University. Throughout her college career, she has been trained as an autism therapist and Wilson Reading System therapist and has worked in both fields during her education.

Mr. Henderson has taught Kindergarten through 12th grade Physical Education for several years. In addition he has over 10 years of coaching and training experience in the field of Physical Health. He studied and trained for five years under the mentorship of fitness coach Mr. Morris, Ph.D. Mr. Henderson has developed his own fitness business and has a heart to serve people and help them reach their personal health goals. Mr. Henderson feels it is a privilege to utilize this knowledge as he educates the MCA students in regard to Physical Education.
Mrs. Bray serves as MCA’s Aftercare Supervisor. Childcare & Education has been an important part of Mrs. Bray’s life serving as a Childcare Provider and Preschool Teacher for approximately 10 years prior to starting a day care at home. Mrs. Bray feels blessed and honored to be able to serve the children and families at Marlton Christian Academy.
